Daybreak Joins Parachute Health ePrescribing Platform
Daybreak has integrated with the Parachute Health ePrescribing platform, allowing clinicians to directly refer patients for custom oral sleep appliances

Daybreak has joined the Parachute Health ePrescribing platform. This integration connects prescribers and home medical equipment providers through a digital workflow for obstructive sleep apnea treatment.
The move marks Daybreak's first entry into electronic prescribing. It makes the company's at-home diagnostic and treatment solutions available to a vast network. This network includes over 300,000 clinicians and 3,000 HME provider locations nationwide.
Wesley Lones, founder and CEO of Daybreak, stated that obstructive sleep apnea is underdiagnosed and undertreated. He attributed this partly to a fragmented path from testing to treatment. By joining Parachute Health, it continues our broader mission to increase access to care, shorten time to treatment, and simplify a therapy pathway that has long been disjointed, Lones said in a release.
Streamlining the Referral Process
Providers using the Parachute Health platform can now refer patients directly to Daybreak. This happens within the same digital workflow used for other home medical equipment orders. Following an OSA diagnosis, an impression kit is sent to the patient's home. This kit is for a custom-fit Daybreak device.
The Daybreak device is an FDA-cleared mandibular advancement device. It is designed to relieve snoring and sleep apnea. The appliance works by gently moving the lower jaw forward to open the airway during sleep.
Eric Mongeau, chief commercial officer of Daybreak, explained the efficiency gain. Physicians already place HME orders through Parachute's platform as part of their normal workflow, so a sleep apnea referral to Daybreak now works the same way, Mongeau said. He described the integration as turning a multi-day back-and-forth process into a streamlined digital one.
Benefits for HME Providers
For home medical equipment providers, the integration offers established pathways. They can use these to request and receive prescriptions and necessary clinical documentation. Daybreak states this aims to shorten the time required to generate signed prescriptions. It also seeks to reduce administrative burdens.
Rob Boeye, EVP and commercial leader for HME at Parachute Health, commented on the partnership. Parachute strives to decrease the friction between prescribers, HME providers, and patients through our digital workflows, Boeye said in a release.
Platform Access and Availability
Daybreak is currently live and accepting orders through the Parachute Health platform. The integration provides access to a network that also includes 70,000 facilities and health systems across the country. The company's end-to-end solution is now part of this digital ordering ecosystem.
