My CPAP Caddy Bedside Stand Aims to Improve Therapy

An Orlando-based inventor has released a new bedside stand designed specifically for CPAP equipment. The product, called My CPAP Caddy, aims to tackle common patient frustrations that can hinder sleep apnea therapy.
Millions of Americans use continuous positive airway pressure machines to manage obstructive sleep apnea. Many face nightly issues like crowded nightstands, tangled hoses, and condensation in the tubing. Research suggests roughly half of patients prescribed CPAP therapy stop using it within a year.
Addressing Common Therapy Barriers
Inventor Eric Jackson created the stand after observing these persistent problems. He noted that while machine technology has advanced, little attention has been paid to the bedside environment where the equipment is actually used. The adjustable stand provides a dedicated space for the CPAP machine, mask, and hose.
"After experiencing and observing the same frustrations faced by CPAP users night after night, I realized that manufacturers had focused on improving the machines themselves, but very little attention had been given to where those machines are actually used," Jackson said in a release. The design allows users to position the machine at the manufacturer's recommended height.
Design and Patient Experience
The stand is intended to make the therapy experience more comfortable and manageable. Its design keeps essential equipment organized and within easy reach. Jackson emphasized that the product stems from a belief that sleep therapy should fit naturally into a person's bedroom life.
"My CPAP Caddy isn't just a stand," Jackson says. "It comes from the belief that sleep therapy should fit naturally into a person's life and bedroom instead of forcing patients to arrange their surroundings around their equipment." The goal is to reduce barriers that contribute to poor therapy adherence.
Market Availability and Partnerships
To bring the solution to market, the creator has established key partnerships. My CPAP Caddy now has relationships with a national healthcare retailer and one of the country's largest distributors of CPAP machines and accessories. This strategy is aimed at expanding product access for patients seeking to improve their therapy setup.
The development highlights a focus on the user environment as a component of successful sleep apnea treatment. By addressing organizational and accessibility issues, the inventor hopes to support the millions relying on this essential therapy.
