SoundHealth, a company specializing in AI-enabled medical devices, has recently closed an oversubscribed Series A financing round led by Shangbay Capital. This move brings the company's total funding to date to $12.25 million, which will be used to accelerate the growth of its portfolio.

The company's flagship device, the Sonu band, has been cleared by the Food and Drug Administration for the relief of moderate to severe allergic rhinitis. It has delivered over 500,000 acoustic resonance treatment sessions for users aged 12 and older, positioning it as a steroid alternative for the treatment of congestion due to allergic and non-allergic rhinitis.

In addition to the Sonu band, SoundHealth has also developed a craniofacial anatomical dataset to provide the foundation for its Spatial Sleep product, a personalized sleep wellness device. Data has shown that this product can help people fall asleep faster and sleep longer.

The company's technology utilizes a proprietary AI and craniofacial anatomical dataset to deliver drug-free treatments. Its non-drug treatments for breathing and sleep disorders are currently recommended by over 1,000 medical and dental professionals nationwide.

The new funding will support the growth of SoundHealth's portfolio, which includes the Sonu band and the Spatial Sleep product. The company's CEO, Paramesh Gopi, PhD, expressed excitement about working with Shangbay Capital to accelerate the growth of the business.
